An organization called Team World Vision puts on a national, annual 6K for Water run/walk/race. Team World Vision is creating awareness and solutions for third world countries who don’t have access to clean water. Millions of children walk an average of 6 kilometers every day just to get water. OPEN joined the movement and hosted our own 6K for Water in our very own Shell Ridge. OPEN participants watched a short video describing how difficult it can be to get water. We then began our 6K walk. In the middle of the walk, OPEN participants experienced what it was like to walk in dirt with no shoes, carrying water without spilling.
