Who: Adopt a Family Grateful Gatherings.  GG is an incredible program whose mission is “to bring hope to families in need. When a family transitions from homelessness or crisis into a new home in the Bay Area, we help them furnish it. We believe that families can thrive when they have a safe and comfortable home.”  Grateful Gatherings has organized an adopt a family program during the holiday season.  Open Families has adopted the family that our volunteers helped in August! We get to provide Joelynn and her two children with gifts for the holidays!

What: Joelynn is really excited to enjoy her first Christman in her new apartment.  She will be delighted to receive help from Open Families this year as without our help, she would not be able to celebrate with gifts under the tree. It would be great if you can wrap and label the donated gift.  You can deliver to Jan Broad’s house (727 Old Jonas Hill Rd. Lafayette) or contact Jan at openfamilies@gmail and she can pick them up by Dec 12th.
